Charging

Does my car charge from the grid or from the battery?

From the battery. The station is connected to the grid around the clock and keeps topping up, but your car always charges from the energy stored in the station's battery.

How much power does a station deliver?

120 to 250 kW, depending on the station type. Actual power depends on the combination of battery, charging unit and how much your car can accept. When two cars charge at once, the station shares the power between them dynamically.

How long does charging take?

Drivers typically spend 15–20 minutes at an AKULEO station. The exact time depends on the vehicle, its battery level and temperature.

Which connectors are available?

CCS2 and CHAdeMO for DC charging, Type 2 for AC.

What if the station battery runs low?

You can see the station's charge on the indicator before you start. The station tops up continuously, so this rarely happens. If it does, you pay only for the kWh you actually took and the station points you to the nearest AKULEO station.

Is charging safe?

Yes. AKULEO stations are certified for use in the EU, their operation is insured and meets all safety requirements.

Payment

Can I pay by card?

Yes. Pay with an ordinary payment card or your phone (Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay). No app or subscription needed.

Does the price change during charging?

No. The price per kWh is shown on the screen before charging starts and does not change during the session.

Where do I get a receipt?

Scan the QR code on the screen or have it sent to your e-mail.

Stations

Are stations available 24/7?

Yes. They even keep charging during short or local grid outages, for example after a storm or during grid works.

How reliable are the stations?

Every station is connected to our control centre, which monitors its status and availability around the clock. We can diagnose faults remotely and often fix them remotely too.

Can I book a charging slot?

Not yet. A typical session takes 15–20 minutes, so queues don't form at our stations.

Partners and events

Can I host an AKULEO station?

Yes. If you have a suitable site where EV drivers stop, or a company with a fleet, we'd be glad to install a station with you. For partners

A festival, conference or large event?

We bring a station and connect it, and it charges EVs for the whole event.
